We met each other in Costa Rica in 2014, while we were both working as the sole medical directors at two different Ibogaine clinics in the country. While bonding over Ibogaine treatment and crazy nursing stories, we dreamt up what it would look like if resources were limitless for the highest quality setting of an Ibogaine treatment.
Several months later we collaborated as co-authors on the Clinical Guidelines for Ibogaine-Assisted Detoxification through GITA. We were each thrilled to have found another nurse with as much passion for both the safety and human experience of an Ibogaine ceremony. We built a relationship through bouncing questions and ideas off of each other when it came to challenges regarding clients. At the 2016 Global Ibogaine Conference in Tepoztlan, Mexico, Jamie led the first Advanced Cardiac Life Support for Ibogaine course which Christine completed. Through conversations with providers during the conference, we were inspired to team up and form a unique onsite training service for new and seasoned Ibogaine providers.
We have come to the realization that the best way we can serve this community is to train and educate other providers to prevent and respond to potential adverse events during Ibogaine treatment.
